First time DVR guide loading: How long?

Hello everyone! I just made the switch BACK to D* from Cablevision, LI after about 4 years. I am excited about all the updates to the service since I was a customer last time, all the new HD channels and the DVR is very cool compared to the horror that is the SA8300.

One question though, how long will it take for my guide to fully populate after initial install? There are a few programs that I want to record Thursday and after about 4 hours they are still not visible. Is there a way to force the update or speed it up?

Is it normal? i didn't do the setup so I didn't get to see the guide message that popped up.

It could take a couple of days for the unit to index all of that data. Then you should be able to search for them. The guide itself should have all of the channels listed quite soon and you might see the shows populate out.

Usually less than 24 hours to get two weeks worth of programming in the guide.
