Any new stuff for the FTA market at CES???

Scott needs a FTA CES Correspondent. Not all of us water at the Directv/Dish hog trough.

Who do you expect might spend the thousands of dollars to show off what's new and exciting in FTA?

Perhaps I lack imagination and/or insight, but there seems to be nothing "Consumer Electronics" about FTA.

Too much of a niche product in this country. DVB-s is dominated by Dish and Direct. I wasted money on a PCI card with the thought that I would capture the audio streams that Dish used to broadcast in the clear. But now only Hawaiian music is still unencrypted.

No FTA stuff here as far as equipment goes. We did see some LNB's and switches but that was about it.

We had Alex from TELE-satellite magazine with us who was here just for FTA stuff and he was disappointed as he expected more.
