I just recently bought an FTA satellite from Glorystar. It Came with a Geosat dish and the HDVR3500. After setting everything up I am getting 75% signal strength and 85% quality strength. My question is there a way to increase the quality strength? I have LNB pushed back away from the dish, would sliding this forward help or should I try to adjust the angle and direction more? Also I had to use about 30-40' of RG59 cable that was already in the attic and wall, would replacing this with RG6 do anything? This was my first sat to put up and i know nothing about this. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, if that is what you are getting you have it "pegged" out. You are not going to get any better than that.
I know what is going on, you are shooting for the 100 you see on the screen, but this is not exactly a scale of 0-100.
It it is a relative indication from the BER reading. 85Q is great!

Thanks guys I will leave it alone.

This FTA satellites business is interesting. I never even knew it existed till a few weeks ago. I am wanting to try to find an old dish and play around with so I will have more questions in the future. I have been search the web like crazy getting different ideas so hopefully I can find another dish so I don't have to experiment with the one I have.
