I have to agree with that.

If the idea with Voom is to be high quality delivery system for the
person that cares about signal quality (and by inference, the content),
then the whole "Voom Guy" idea just completely subverts that message.
It gives the impression of disrespect for the content and the viewer -
just like someone starting up a conversation in the middle of a movie
or a show. It says "hey, we know you don't take this stuff seriously,
so here's a little cute head to give you a message right in the middle
of your program." I realize lots of people are coming on Voom to give
it a try, but you are going to be a service for the discerning viewer,
you need to assume that the viewers have sense enough to explore the
guide and figure out what Voom is about. Otherwise, you'll have to be
"TV for people who don't mind cartoon characters coming on during their
programs". Maybe the Voom guy could get a pink slip along with the
Marketing VP.

Give me a nice looking beautiful woman to do this. Who in their right mind ok's this geek to pop his ugly head into our HD? I dont get it. It seems like VOOM wants to annoy us with this guy. We dont need a GUY...we need a GAL. Somebody tell VOOM who their target base is! Please ...can we get some swim suit action on that useless Fashion ch?

Is he Dolans love child or something? LMAO. Have you seen this clown on the beach yelling at the seagulls?

Dolan's love child??? That's funny. And he probably can't get a job anywhere else this summer before he goes back to Jr. High.

And why put Shari on the beach all wrapped up from head to toe? Duhhhh!

They should put this dork on DivineHD and get Jess or Shari out on the beach. Who in their right minds at Voom thinks we want to see this JackArse? And what's with the stupid rednose? Is he related to Rudolph?

I think the Voom guy *himself* is okay in between shows, I just don't like his floating head (or anyone else's) popping up during the current program.

The orange nose "oxide" he wears at the beach. You know they want him to act stupid. I think theyve realized his clown potential.

White spots

I had a couple of white spots appear on my screen also. I am running in 1080i mode. I just cycled through the resolutions and they went away.

Voom Guy For President !!

:usa VOOM GUY FOR PRESIDENT !! :usa

Okay, okay, forget I said that !!
(I couldn't resist.)

Humor is one thing definitely missing from this election cycle. Anybody else noticing that? Where is Pat Paulsen when we need him? We need humor to lighten up the culture wars.

I think he's kind of funny but NOT FLOATING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN!!!
He's ok on the 'intermissions' especially when paired with some eye candy. :D
