In Chicago area....and as you know had quite the sleet storm.
Had no problems, until 30 mins ago when signal dropped and I got a 771 message....
However, still receiving my locals.....

Any ideas?

Thanks.....

Where can I find those numbers?
Menu/ Settings/ Sat and Antenna / View Signal Strength / dash
You mainly want to check the 99, 101 and 103 Sats.
The majority of them should be in the high 80's and 90's, and 100.
There will be a few that are suppose to be zero, not a lot, but a few.
Don't worry about the 99s and 103s being low.

In the bad weather they will be lower than I posted.

Example, I'm in the Toledo market, so I too am getting your weather, not as much ice though as it went slightly north of here, got ice this morning, lots of wind all day.

Anyways, my numbers that are normally in the 90's many are in the 70's and 80's today.

Rain and sleet forecasted to end by 8am .

Fwiw, I lost power for 5 hrs today, when the power was on, I never lost signal.

If this is correct....this is what I am seeing....

Sat Transponders.... (32 total at 101 degrees)

1-8 76 76 76 0 75 94 75 94

9-16 75 80 75 0 77 95 76 94

17-24 74 100 75 0 77 95 77 94

25-32 72 98 72 85 77 94 76 95

LOL....As I was doing this....I saw the numbers changing and improving....and now all is well....

I just looked at the numbers again and they are all in the range you mentioned....
There is a chance of snow still overnight, Im hoping it remains "warm" enough to keep that at bay.....
Quick question, since I was afraid of messing up a setting....to toggle to the other sats would I have just used the "plus" sign to get to the 99 and 103 degrees?
Thanks for your help.....be safe in this weather.....

Yes, just toggle to the ones you want to look at.
The 99 and 103 are more important to you if you are using HD equipment as thats where the HD signals come from ... the 101 is where the core programming is located, but mostly all is SD
