Well, managed to receive a HD-A1, was in bad shape (busted hd-dvd drive, ribbon cables etc), among other things , one with the 2.0 upgrade, but someone left a disk in (so it in turn turned into a nice doorstop)

Managed to fix everything, except for the flash. Toshiba denied that the upgrade disks ever caused any problems at all, and wanted $169 + parts and labor just to look at it.

So I turn my appeal to anyone, Id like to fix it, but without a working image of a flash (its on a usb key!) or even a working player on the real cheap cheap, I am out of luck.

Ontop of all that, once done, if possible, it would make on amazing linux based PC, load into HD-DVD mode when needed, when not, say boot up a tiny myth frontend :)

Anyone got ideas?

Thanks,
CJ
