Hi,

I just purchased a Westinghouse LD-3265 TV & am having trouble programming the remote for the TV.
I have tried the code search through all codes and got to the end (8 blinking lights) twice now.
Steps taken are:

1. TV: On
2. Hold down tv mode button until all mode lights on.
3. Press top power button & release so TV mode light remains lit.
4. press up arrow repeatedly (until 8 flashes indicating all codes were run).
5. Would then press pound if tv shut off but tv never shuts off.

I have also tried all dish network provided codes provided on page 138
of the Dish network HDTV DVR Satellite Receiver User's guide. (vip 722k)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

It's possibly not compatible with that Westinghouse TV, just as it was not with my Panasonic. If your receiver can use the new 21.0 remote from Dish, that one can learn from the TV's remote and is almost for sure going to work. Worked fist time I had it learn from my Panasonic remote.

Tampa8,
I found instructions for "setting up by learning from another remote."
I'll give this a try.

Thanks for the reply.

Leeche Lake, I have a Westinghouse TV too. They are a Sony on the inside and Westinghouse on the outside. Try the codes for the Sony. I have a VIP622 with a 5.3 remote.

Not exactly. They share some components, ie displays, but that's where the similarity stops. Sony codes might work.

Possible ground loop destroying the hard drive ?
