HR20 0x145 "superpillar" issue

For those of you getting weird pillars (i.e. bad stretching) with the HR20, I have a theory...

Ever since 145, my sony TV is reporting all resolutions as 4X3, even 720p and 1080i (HDMI, XBR960, native on).

Perhaps some TV's are misenterpreting the bad signal coming from the HR20?

Oh, and how's this for a weirdo - my FOX has been native locking at 1080i too. (WNYW-DT)


Anyone else notice this?

Is this on locals only or on nationals as well? And if locals only, are they OTA, or D*'s?

The 4x3 bug is on anything dbs. I currently don't have an antenna attached to my hr20.

Hmm, does it only do it through HDMI? i.e. Is the problem there when you use Component?

I have the same problem. It only seems to happen when the HR20 has been turned off. The tv that I have is a Sony 50 SXRD xbr1 hooked up thru HDMI. The problem only started after the 145 software update.
