On Saturday, we went car shopping at the local Chevrolet dealer in Chanute, KS.

As part of the discussion about cars, etc. the subject of the salesman's previous experience comes up.

The salesman proceeded to tell about working for Birdview and how they'd give him $2,000 cash for expenses and he'd drive a 1-ton dually with a trailer loaded with Birdviews for delivery to all parts of the U.S. He said they'd keep receipts for lodging and fuel, especially since most of the expenses were paid with cash.

One interesting part of the conversation was about delivery to a dealer in Louisiana and how he was paid for the delivery with $15,000 in cash in a bag....

I asked about where Birdview was located and he explained where and what. The way he described, it would've been a very interesting place to have visited 'during the day'.

One of Birdview's issues and eventual demise was the fact that they did not shop OUT the trucking, and it was VERY expensive, due to the size of the dishes and not being able to get them to the customer in pieces. The shipping issue always bothered my boss who was on the Birdview (and "New" Birdview) boards.
