Apple released another update for the iOS.

This one deals with the issue with Exchange email and battery drainage.

How do you upgrade to it if your jailbroken?

Put your device into DFU Mode (http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/27489-dfu-mode-dummies.html) and restore the iOS version you are moving to using iTunes (in your case, to iOS 6.1.2).

Then follow this tutorial to jail break the iPad using the evasi0n 1.4 tool: http://www.ipadforums.net/showthread.php?t=102722
Once you have finished you should have a clean iPad freshly jailbroken with Cydia on it!

Also prior to that you might wanna do a sync backup on itunes.

You will also need to use something like Package Backup to backup the Cydia apps. You could reinstall them all but that is tedious.

I'm not going to update as this latest update does nothing for me. My battery life is fine.

I did update my wife's phone though. She did have a battery draining issue.

Or you do a restore update. And then re-jailbreak. The problem with restore is that it clears everything off so you have to reinstall all of your music, pictures, and APPs, and that is before the JB.

Backed up everything using iCloud.. And got it all back. Then re-did the jb at back in biz

My experience was pretty negative. It has done nothing to improve battery life.

Released just in time for me to shut down the Exchange server (defunct company). Sigh. Here's hope for the battery side. I haven't had the music starting after ending a cell call for a while- that was almost enough to send me to Android.
