The format may be dead, but the disks still play. I have a player hooked in to both my home theater and family room systems (obsolete stuff needs working backups). It makes no sense to buy titles on Blurray when there are already there in similar quality, so I'd say I watch one about once a month.
I had one Toshiba player survive, actually watched The Breakfast Club from my HD DVD rips drive ... most of my actual discs didn't survive.
Last watched U-571, don't watch often, as Netflix and Prime Tv have lots to view including 4k, HDR and Dolby Vision, most have better PQ then BR od HD-DVD. I have two HD-DVD players one was last minute close-out sale on the top model, they both work fine. 85 HD-DVDs

Got my smoked Toshiba D2 back up and running so demo'd a few titles like Transformers, Heart Alive in Seattle, U2 Rattle & Hum & Queen Rock Montreal... myYamaha recognized the D2 as an HD DVD player, demo'd in both Neural X & DSU, liked Neural X up mix better although they were close...
