Losing DVR content if I keep my 942?

I'm getting the 622 but I currently own my 942. I think getting $10 for it from Dish is kind of lame and the CSR told me I'm not required to send it in. The other receiver in my house is a 322 so I'd like to put my 942 in its place thus giving me a second DVR when the 622 comes in on Saturday. As I understand it, I will have to deactivate the 942 and then reactivate it. Will any of this erase the content already saved on the 942? My wife will kill me if I lose all her shows

You do not have to deactivate it, just the 322. Just make sure you unplug it before you move it. You will not lose your dvr'ed programs only any voom channels once they all go mpeg4.
