Many confused by Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD

My local paper wrote an article on the subject. They also have a poll on what people think. This is the current result (30 votes so far)

20% Blu-ray, the quality is so much better
13% HD-DVD, it's more affordable
43% I'll stick to standard DVDs till it's sorted out
23% I'm so confused
 
Probably about right, especially the confused & "stick w/DVD" parts!
 
I agree. Part of the confusion is marketing terminology. "HD DVD" sounds like somewhat above "DVD" or an addon to DVD, whereas "Blu-Ray" sounds like a separate and higher-end product.

HD-DVD sounds like "Chevrolet Plus". Blu-Ray sounds like "Cadillac".

Sounds like another failed Sony format.

It has nearly 200 votes now and the results are primarily changing for I'll stick to standard DVD's
