Okay Gurus:
What is the max distance from a Sat. receiver to HDTV for either hdmi or component cables without using any kind of repeater/booster.

And/or: whats the best way to do it if the signal does need boosted?

TIA,
fred

Im running a component output from my boxes to a 4 port switch, the output of the switch to a 4 port splitter, and then from the splitter with cables as much as 100'.

So total around 140' to get to a 42" plasma and the picture looks just as good as when the box was right there.

I know many places sell cables as long as 100' and thye have worked fine for me.

I have HDMI running 35 feet from my 622 to my projector. With the thickest HDMI cable from Monoprice, you will want to add a repeater if you want to run longer than 50 feet although I have heard of a 75 footer working without a repeater.

6 foot HDMI cables for $1.22 @ Amazon
