MLB Schedules

For those of us that still have RCA black box receivers from the 90's. Sony receivers or even old Memorex receivers scattered around the different TV's.
I have no idea what this means for Padres, Phillies, Blue Jays, ota feeds, etc.
3 of my 6 active DirecTV receivers are effected and I quote from channel 794.

"Looking for your MLB Extra Innings games. This receiver no longer broadcasts MLB Extra Innings games in the 700-799 channel range. Most extra innings games can be viewed on the Regional Sports Network channels in the 628-699 channel range. Please refer to your on-screen program guide to find your team's game."

I have 7 Hughes SD and 1 Thomson SD affected by this. My MPEG2 and MPEG4 HDs are not affected.

The Padres, Phillies and Blue Jays have not shown up on any receiver. The Braves WPCH games are on 651 in SD. Like last year there is no HD WPCH presentation listed.

For yet another season, I can speak for all of us and say a huge thanks to MikeI on this Opening Day of the '09 campaign. Like many of us, it was like putting on a comfy pair of shoes or a favorite hat getting to the PC this AM and seeing today's schedule (complete with snow-out updates)!

The first game was last evening, but for SG, the season just officially opened when its members viewed today's schedule.

Thanks for all of your hard work, Mike. May your fingers never falter!!!!!:)

One other thing to note. Directv is not correctly listing in the 600's the hd info for the rockies and Mariners. All regular season Rockies (fsn rocky mountain) and Mariners (fsn northwest) are in hd this year. ALso 677-1 one has the rangers on it today.

POSTPONED: Opening Day rescheduled for Tuesday

Last update Apr 06, 2009 @ 10:19 AM
BOSTON —
The Red Sox have rescheduled Opening Day for 4:05 p.m. Tuesday because of the rainy forecast. It will be their first opener at home since 2002, and just their second since 1996. The weather doesn’t lessen the enthusiasm and anticipation of beginning the 2009 season.

That sucks.....Opening Day rainouts are disappointing...

Any correlation between my list and a supposed DIRECTV list is purely coincidental. The listing I provided has SD channels in the 600s listed. HD Channels in the 600s are of no particular benefit to EI Subscribers and one can determine that there is apparently an HD feed from the EI listings in the 700s.

At last check, there is no listing for Padres or Blue Jays coverage(SD or HD) in the EPGs.

Right you are Sky.

Maybe this will teach MLB a lesson in the future: stay away from the North/Northeast for the first week to ten days (I doubt it though).

Sorry Bill. :(

The only place even listing the padres feed at all for today is directv mlb extrai inning schedule page on their website. The on screen guide and the epg both don't have anything on 736. It makes me wonder if they have to re sign up to get the phillies, blue jays and Padres feeds in EI this year.

Thanks buddy,

I guess Opening Day (a holiday in my house.............including the wife) will have to be put off one more day. :(

We'll get in a beautiful Opening Night game in Anaheim tonight, but the rest of the week could be VERY probelmatic. Cold, wet, windy weather is predicted all week long!!!!:eek::eek:
