More information on Echostar Broadband

I heard that WB will not start service until September. You can only get it if a co-op in your area is testing it. Are there no WISP's in your rural areas? Im sure if there are enough people wanting Highspeed internet someone would see the potential in starting/deploying a WISP?
 
WildBlue is up and running. I'm using one right now. This is so much nicer than the Dway that I had for 4 years and the phone return system before that. Speeds are right at the advertised levels and the package prices are better too.

There is a huge waiting list but the equipment is slowly starting to come in.
I'm sure that WildBlue doesn't want another Starband situation. It's worth the wait and it works where WISP does not. :yes

What kind of speeds are you getting?
 
Still too expensive for most people. I can't wait for Dish Network to roll out their service (if it happens). I am sure it will be cheaper than all the current ones.
