Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out how I would mount a 5 foot mast to the corner post of my balcony. I can't use anything penetrating, but I can 'strap' it to the post. How can I go about mounting this thing to the post so it doesn't fall over or turn? Thanks!

I would use either U-bolts, or if its larger, a couple of chimney straps.

I can think of many ways

Ty raps
Duct tape
Bailing wire
Heavy duty rope. Just use your imagination!!!!

I would go with some type of straps, Tie wraps will weaken in sunlight and become brittle. You can get duct tape in all different colors these days !! lol

DUCT TAPE! he he, It would temporarily work. A common balcony guardrail for a brick building would be steel. Use lots of metal straps like plumbing strap with nuts and bolts or hose clamps.
