NBC HD in 2004 Olympics
Lets see - 2 years ago I had just bought my Samsung STB to pick up HD OTA programming which looks really nice on my Samsung 50 DLP set.
I get a good signal from our NBC carrier in LA so me and my wife settled in expecting some real good coverage of the Olympics opening ceremonies and games and guess what we got? We got HD coverage of the last Winter Games in 2004. Well, I thought NBC was having temporary problems and things would be fixed the following night, but if I recall correctly they never did get any of the Summer games in HD. I'm still in hot water with my wife because part of my excuse of buying the set top box was to watch the Summer Games in HD.
Needless to say, in my opinion the KNBC in LA is a little behind on their HD capabilities so I hope they do a little better this time around.
