Keep a few known good ones around......good to test suspected defective receivers.

Too bad they didn't lease those as well - I have a bunch of old RCAs in the garage - worthless.

I also have 2 Hughes HD receivers which cost a total of over 900. Worthless.

And a 2lnb and 3 lnb dishes. Also worthless.

Leasing is so much better.

I have the same problem. I have 1 Rca Receiver from 1995,and 3 samsungs. I have 2 3LNB dishes and one more Slimline. The 3 LNB's are still in use. For Standard Definition Customers.

They should be disposed of in the same way as TVs and other electronics. There's likely lead content in the old receivers. There are now approved recycling centers in most states. I saved my old H10's (for now). All the other stuff I donate (no card) to the salvation army and take a tax deduction.

How much do they put down that you can put as a tax deduction? Sounds like the best route to take. I think you are lucky to get $5 each out of them on ebay.
