Open Letter to Time Trax Technologies Customers

To our valued customers and supporters:

Your satisfaction with TimeTrax products is our top priority. We’ve been working around the clock to continually improve the products and services we provide to you.

As you may have noticed, there has been a recent flurry of activity and changes related to TimeTrax products and services. Amid these changes, we recognize that you have experienced several frustrating situations attempting to use the latest products and services. We’d like to take this opportunity to share with you an incident that required us to make some difficult decisions in order to preserve the future of TimeTrax’s products and services.

On the evening of Friday, August 19, 2005, Time Trax Technologies experienced a compromise of its registration and authentication process. The compromises focused on obtaining and using the TimeTrax and Recast software free and without charge. At this time we have absolutely no evidence that any confidential and individual identifying information was targeted or obtained.

Upon learning of compromise, we immediately implemented the highest level of defensive tactics which included taking all systems companywide offline in order to prevent any continuing damage – at least until we could begin to identify what exactly we were dealing with. As you may had noticed at the time, this meant TimeTrax could not be downloaded, registered or used for a period of several days.

Once we were able to determine where and how the compromise occurred, we worked non-stop to ensure that something similar could not reoccur. This incident was and continues to be the source of the registration problems that many of you have experienced.

We value you as a TimeTrax customer and look forward to a long future of delivering innovative products and services to you. Your continued support as we face new challenges will help ensure that TimeTrax will be around for a long time to come.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation CyberCrimes division is conducting an investigation. If you have any information about this situation, please contact either our office at (877) 519-5487 or the Baltimore FBI field office at (410) 265-8080.
