For home use, would appreciate inputs from people who have BHN VOIP--both pros and cons.

One ? for sure, can faxes be sent over the VOIP connection without any hoops to jump?

Any real experience with 911 calls?

Is there battery backup for power outage or have to use personal UPS?

And whatever else you would want to add.

Yes faxes are fine...

911 is true enhanced 911 NOT like Vonage and other VOIP providers that use their own operators and then route you. With BHN you will speak immediately to your local 911 office and if by some chance you drop off the call without speaking there will be help arriving at your door within minutes whether you talked or not.

Yes there are batteries in each MTA which gives you about 8 hours of backup.

Just popping back in to complain (told you) :)

Spent 15 minutes on your web site. Still don't know how much 2 lines of VOIP will cost. You click on the text that you think will give you costs and it always drives you into bundled plans.

OK, phone call gave me the answer....$63.76 more (on 2-yr promo) for adding two VOIP lines (Nationwide LD). That's only $10 less than ATT. Was hoping for a larger reduction than that.

The reason you don't see pricing that way is because it's extremely difficult to give you speciifc pricing when we have a number of different packages and promotions each changing the effective costs of 1 or 2 lines. It also depends on your current level of service, when it will expire etc etc etc...anytime you have questions like this it's always best to call in and have them review everything with you and always be sure to select sales.

Interesting difference between two Internet tiers...
