Receivers Calling Home

I use Vonage so I can see on my Vonage activity report that my receivers are calling in to an 866 number two or three times a week, I wonder what information they are sending?

They also call an 800 number once a month. That call is the call that shows up on the information screen and I guess is the monthly call to upload PPV information.

Anyone else seeing this level of activity?

If these are 622's it's probably the "Status" call. Look in the counters. My 622s do it once a week each.

Yep, besides the call once a month to record your PPV info, there is now a second call every week. I don't know what the once a week call is for, but it might be to let Dish know your viewing habits.
