Refrigerator magnets make good markers for FTA dish/pole

Those 'fridge magnets cut into the shape of little pointers come in handy when optimizing dishes - can be put on the mounting pole as a reference pointer, or on the elevation scale of the dish as a reference pointer.

Those magnets are not the strongest....if you want, use neodymium magnets, or the ones that you find in electric toothbrush heads, those are super strong.

I will try that next time my dog chews one up. My dog will sneak into the bathroom, thinking the electric toothbrushes are bones. He sees people put them in their mouths like bones, so he thinks it must be a bone. He will chew it up and the magnets are then easily accessible. Pretty expensive bone.
 
or just mark it with a marker. especially helpful after wind storms. I can still see faint marks I made a few years ago
