Samsung BD-P1000 Price Drop. BD Getting Cheaper

It seems as though Samsung is lowering the MSRP to $899 from its original $999. According to the source, this will drive wholesale prices to the $500-$800 range. It looks as though its getting a little cheaper at least, and with possible price drops by the HDDVD camp, BD manufacturers needed this.

PS. Its $599 at tiger direct w/ free shipping. I guess we'll have to see what HDDVD is going to do now.

The bad news is tiger direct. When Onecall or some place like that has it at that price it will be good news. But at this point the ball is in LG's court and their combo player.
