Should we go to Team Summit?

Starting to get ready to go... getting my equipment all ready to go.

I figured out a way to feed a wireless mic, via XLR to my iPhone and get awesome audio. Will be doing all my shooting in 4K using an iPhone.

Even got a few new lenses I can use on the iPhone to better bring us into the action.

Yesterday I spent a good part of the day testing everything and was surprised how good it all looked and sounded using just a phone. The quality of the Audio and Video was as good as my studio cameras at my access station I volunteer for.

I am getting excited. Team Summit is almost here! Thank you to everyone for helping us to get there! :)

I look forward to hearing your report. See if you can find out the status of adding the Google Assistant in the Hopper3. Back in January you shared that Dish was thinking of adding Google Assistant. That would allow the Hopper3 remote to control my Lutron Caseta lights similar to how Alexa does it.

The camera rig is taking shape.

Correct. The phone slides in behind.

The lens is an 18 times zoom and when combined with the phones zoom you can get nice close ups of things way far away.

I already had the wireless mic setup but did buy the mount, the lens and the led light. But all was less than $100.

I will however be using a different tripod when I go with a fluid head. And I have that already.

So, how was Team Summit? Did you enjoy the +90? temperatures? Or, did they make you sign an NDA as you got off the plane? ;)

Today is my last day at work, so getting all the wires adapters and power cords I need ready to go. Can't forget anything as its too far a walk home to forget what I missed.

When I do these things I feel like a scout... I am always prepared :D

If you forget anything, look for Fry's Electronics. There are a few in Phoenix and they will have whatever you may need. Hope you have a great time.
