Last weekend we dropped my wife's son off at Logan and then took I90 to home in western NY. Strangely I still had reception while driving in the tunnels under Boston. Anyone have an idea why I still had recption while in the tunnels?

It makes sense that they would have a transmitter in the Ted Williams Tunnel. Years ago they had Tunnel Radio on the Central Artery Tunnel and if you were listening to AM radio when you drove into the tunnel it would commandeer your radio until you drove out. Not sure if it worked on the FM but it was pretty cool I thought. Fat Man XM doesn't get the love that Sirius gets? It seems they should have ironed these things out long ago since the merger happened several years ago now. I know that I get much better signal coverage in my Fusion with Sirius than I do with my Toyota with XM. Not subscribing at the moment but still getting the free 3 month trial on the Toyota. Still getting the recent free preview on my Ford Fusion though 3 days later!
