Finished last night. I enjoyed it despite the premise of a train ark endlessly circling the globe. Season 2 likely next summer, according to the wiki entry production was mostly complete before the shutdowns.

I didn't see that a 3rd Season was approved already ... that means that they must like Season 2 pretty well.
I forgot about it over the summer with all the other things going on this year and never did watch the Movie ... with the new Season coming Monday, I'll recap the last few episodes and skip the Movie again....
I enjoyed season 1 well enough but I do think maybe our standards might be a bit lowered due to the times we are in.
Trying to figure out, how Big Alice can be connected to Snow piercer, yet when they show the engine room and out the front window, you don't see the Snow piercer ....
Also, they have Melanie's daughter at the helm of Big Alice and they had her pushing Snow piercer over the hill last week, yet you never see them out front.

Filmed at different times, Top Gun filmed from May 2018 to June 2019, it was supposed to come out in 2020, but Covid delayed it.
Snowpiercer season 2 filming began on October 21, 2019 and ended on March 20, 2020.
Well, it seemed like an obvious situation, seeing she was gone most of the season ....
Then again, they have been doing a World Wide tour promoting Top Gun for quite awhile now.

That will affect Season 4 Filming, Filming dates are March 28th to August 5th, 2022.

Season 4 is also rumored to be the last season, because of Discovery buying Warner and trying to cut costs, they have already announced no more scripted shows on TNT/TBS.
Since it might be the last season, kill her off in the first few episodes, then off to do the press for Top Gun.
Nah, gotta keep her around, she adds twists every time she shows up ....
I really like her, but they are making it very difficult to like her.
