So did you order a new iPhone?

My wife has a 5, and is more interested in the c than the s. we may get her one and give my mom her five, trading her 4 in for $100 and coming out even all around.

I hated it. I got a DNA phone instead and love the bigger screen, not the Mickey Mouse screen the iPhones have. I know, I know some people like the mini phones but I just hated it.

I can see the iPhone going to a 4.5 inch screen or may 5 inch screen but I won't want anything bigger than that. The note is nice but way too big. The galaxy s4 is slimmer so that size doesn't bother me. I have an Android lg and the number one thing I hate about it is the phone takes forever to charge. The battery drains faster than my iPhone did when I had it. Thought I'd give Android another shot and am going right back to the iphone.

They have different body styles in addition. The c has a plastic back with more color combinations.

The s has a metal/glass back with more limited colors, but maybe better build?

Essentially the C is last year's iPhone5 with a plastic instead of a metal back. Slight improvement in the LTE radio it can now pick up more bands, but the rest should be the same.
There is a slightly bigger battery in the 5c vs. the 5. Also, the front-facing camera has better specs. But other than that, they're the same.

I was going to keep my iPhone 5 but I just found out about the T-Mobile pay-as-you-go plan that gives you 100 minutes of talk, unlimited text, and 5 GB of full-speed LTE data for $30 per month. Now I'm thinking about buying a Nanosim for my 5, giving it to my wife, and getting a 64 GB 5s for me, you know, as a birthday present, right? ;)

The only question I have is what is the supply going to be for the 5s, some rumors have started to circulate that the supply chain is in trouble because of low yields on the fingerprint reader. I wonder if that is why there is not going to be a preorder? Perhaps the retail commitments to carriers has used up the supply and they do not have enough for a few million preorders.

Sounds reasonable. Also sounds like, unfortunately, they could raise the price.

Was open to jumping to an iPhone when the 5 was announced, still disappointed with that announcement and won't be back on my radar until they increase the screen size.

Note 3 will be tempting.

Wife and I both have the 5. We are not upgrading and will wait to see if the 6 has anything that we want - unless we end up with broken screens before that :)

Well, my wife and I both have 5's now, I would like the 5S, I think the fingerprint is an awesome feature that will be much more utilized over the coming months when they open it up to developers. I can upgrade for $450 to AT&T (had the 5 since Nov) and expect I can sell my 5 for $360-$400.

My wife wants the yellow 5C. Simply put, she wants the color and doesn't like having to use a case. I can't argue with that I guess... $350 to upgrade to 5C, so that is a break even.

Contract isn't a big deal, I added a line for my brother a month ago so we are locked for 23 months now anyway.

Reports of long lines today waiting for stores to open. So what else is new? :)

In China the strong demand is for the Gold 5S but supply is short and website is showing October for delivery.

PS- My wife has a red iphone5. I bought a rubber red cover for $7. The more she uses her iphone the more she loves it.

I don't expect any significant move on the stock until Apple reports numbers.

More possible iPhone 6 details emerge in new report
