i just got my hdtv installed with comcast digital cable, everything works great EXCEPT fox. its very pixely and impossible to watch. the guy said its because of the split cable, so he has someone coming out wednesday to install a direct line to my box. but the eagles game is on sunday on fox! if i was to get something like this would it work?

By split do you mean damaged? If so, you can cut out the damaged part, install 2 compression "F" connectors and the barrel connector from RS and all should be well. Otherwise, I don't understand the question.

split as in its split to another tv in the house. well i got the thing from radio shack and it still doesnt work. I guess i will be watching my birds beat the vikings in SD :(

If you pulled the splitter and installed the barrel connector from the source coax to your main TV coax and it didn't work, you have other system problems. Barrel connectors work fine for joining single runs of coax.
