T-Mobile to get iPhone 5 in addition to Sprint?

Not too surprising. You figure if the new iPhone has a dual GSM/CDMA chip, theoretically all the major providers would be able to carry it. Of course that also depends on contracts and agreements with Apple.

If it has dual chips, Verizon could conceivably make it their next global phone.

The current Verizon iPhone 4 has a global capable chip. They just didn't include the antenna and the SIM slot to make it work.
