Tailgating - Newbie Needs Help

The inverter that I use is this one:
http://www.invertersrus.com/vec1047bd.html

It works great for running a 25in TV, a 19in TV and I have actually run both a 322 and a 942 at the same time. So it should be able to handle whatever you are using. You can probably get away with a smaller watt inverter, but for an extra $20 it is probably worth it. One other thing that you could do (I did this back in my poorer college days, hehe), is buy from somewhere that you can return pretty easily (Walmart or Radio Shack), use it for the game and then return it. I know there aren't too many UGA games left in the season.

Note: I did not buy it from this website. I bought it at Walmart last year.

I'm not sure about the Dish, I actually gave a DNS installer $20 and he gave me a used Dish 500 with a DPP Twin for my tailgate setup.

Do you use your car battery or some other source?

Any idea if I'll be able to activate the new 311 receiver without a visit from an installer? Never done the initial setup before -
