To end the year of 2012 we partnered together with WION and were proud to air the WORLD PREMIERE of WION Radios "A Christmas Carol" on SatelliteGuys Radio.
In turn we also worked with WION who was selling copies of it's "A Christmas Carol" show to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy relief. Because of the generosity of our members and the WION listening audience we were able to help raise $500 for those in need after Hurricane Sandy!
Attached is a letter that WION owner Jim Carlyle yesterday from the charity where your money went, thank you for your hope and support!
Special thanks to Penny Beeman who worked hard to find a charity to give the money to, believe it or not it was hard to give this money away, some charities refused the money saying there were others who could use the money more, while other charities did not respond. Penny made lots of calls and sent lots of letters trying to find a good home for your money and she finally found one!
Thanks to all the SatelliteGuys members and WION listeners who made this $500 donation possible! Also thank you to Jim Carlyle who not only worked to put the radio show together, but he also spent his own money and time buying the materials for the CD's and paying for the shipping of the CD's and ultimately being the one who wrote the check at the end.
