Still nothing on this offer (or any other offers) showing when I login. Can any of the DIRT team members find out if those of us that ended up with Encore instead of Starz are going to be offered this, or if it is just the ones that got Starz?

What I have done to cancel the service after the "end date" of the offer.
After accepting the offer and being able to view an HBO or MAX channel I log onto my Dish account.
From the "My Billing" page select "My Offers" under the "My Account" window. In the "My Offers" window the new programming "HBO" and "Cinemax" is displayed with the start and end dates.
Click the change box, change to "Do Not Continue" then "submit" and (hopefully) you will not be billed. I would recommend checking this selection from time to time to verify it is not changed.

I have HBO now, and have the Starz 12 month free deal. So can I still swap out and get HBO/Max free instead?
When I log in I don't see the option.

I sub to HBO and my email offer was to "Exchange Starz for MAX" only. So, it would seem to me that if you already sub to HBO, it's not included in the offer like it is for others...

I'm beginning to think that this is some sort of response to the Starz lawsuit over the promotion. I received an email pitching this yesterday and I just received a call from Dish stating that the Starz promotion was ending, but that they could switch me to three months of HBO and Cinemax as a replacement. I declined because of the lost month of free premium programming and the caller just accepted my rationale. However, if they are actively making outbound calls on this, I'm wondering I'd there is some sort of settlement on the works with Starz.

I currently have the free year of Starz and the 3 month free promotion of Epix, HBO, MAX and SHOWTIME, so I won't be getting a call. :p

I got the call also, but the gentleman on the phone didn't say the free Starz was ending early, just that I could convert it to the HBO/Max. I would not be surprised if this was ultimately related to the Starz lawsuit or one of the problems with Disney.

Well for me since Camelot and Torchwood have ended for now and not starting again until well after the promo ends I'm just not watching that much anymore. I could care less about the Boss w/ Kelsey Grammar in it.

I checked my account online. My offer is to trade Starz for Cinemax only. I'm currently still on the HBO and Showtime free for 3 months deal. I wonder if that's why their not offering HBO with my deal? I wouldn't mind trading my Starz for HBO and Max, but not for Max only.

Same here, but the 3mo of HBO and SHO end on 10/19/11. Hopefully the trade in for HBO will become available after that date, as HBO is way better than Starz.

When I signed up there was a caution that if you did not cancel at the end of the offer you will automatically be charged on a month to month basis, $16 for HBO and $13 for Max. There is a link on the sign up page to cancel at the end of the offer period that becomes active once you switch.

Actually, they give you a slight discount if you keep both. They only charge $24 for the them if you get them at the same time

Yeah I asked a CS rep and they said if you're already paying for HBO or max, they won't give you a channel you're already paying for for free. The point is to let you try out something you may not be familiar with.

On a personal note, cinemax shows a ton of movies and if you don't have kids that enjoy the disney movies on starz, this looks like a great deal to me.

It looks like Dish Network is trying to make peace with pay cable channel Starz at the expense of Cinemax.
