TORONTO, Nov. 14 /CNW/ - Tri-Vision International Ltd./Ltée (TSX: TVL - News) today announced the launch of Think Broadband Solutions Inc., a wholly owned, existing subsidiary to focus on new telecom and wireless business opportunities and to complement Tri-Vision Electronics Inc. The Company also announced the appointment of senior executives of Think Broadband Solutions: Brent Smith, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Sat Gill, Vice President of Operations.

Think Broadband Solutions Inc. is the result of detailed planning aimed at strengthening the Company's position in the broadband marketplace in North America. This new division will maximize Tri-Vision's core abilities by initially concentrating on providing unique products and value-added services to Canadian cable and telecom companies such as Rogers, Shaw, Videotron, Cogeco, Bell Canada and Telus.

Brent Smith and Sat Gill both bring long and distinguished, executive- level careers in the cable industry to the new Think Broadband venture, specifically in the area of sales, marketing, finance and logistics. Mr. Smith has 20 years experience in the cable and satellite industry, most recently as Regional Director of Sales for Scientific Atlanta's International Division. Sat Gill is an MBA graduate from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Prior to joining Think Broadband, Mr. Gill spent 15 years with Rogers Cable in the areas of logistics, finance, engineering and operations.

Cam Siddiqi will head the new entity as President of Think Broadband Solutions. "Our team is growing and developing with the best, most experienced minds we can find," commented Cam Siddiqi. "It is exciting to expand our personnel and our expertise to properly grow this new venture. Think Broadband Solutions Inc. returns Tri-Vision to the center of the Canadian Broadband Industry to supply unique value added services and technology. The new division will provide support for a number of major international brand names and generate an ever-expanding revenue base for our Company," he added.

Think Broadband Solutions Inc. will operate in several key areas which include: in-country equipment sales and supply, logistical support, niche product research, design and development, in-house and offshore manufacturing capabilities and equipment test, repair and refurbishment. Progress is well underway to represent major brand names in Canada.

Tri-Vision Electronics Inc. will continue to function as the V-chip licensing arm and will market Data Video Distribution System, Secure Pay TV, Addressable Pay TV (pay per view), Hotel Pay TV and Cable TV equipment, primarily outside North America. Tri-Vision Electronics will also incorporate certain functions previously handled by Tri-Vision Technologies International Inc.
