Trouble When HR34 Tries Rebuilding Schedule

This morning my HR34 was stalled- the screen showed something like 'Rebuilding Schedule' but the animated bar wasn't moving.

I red-buttoned the HR34 and it completed its start up, but only explicitly requested programming was scheduled- no series options. When I go to Series Manager, all the entries show zero upcoming episodes. When I click on, say, Big Bang Theory, it shows me a single showing with a very old date. This is the only entry other than VOD items.

I power cycled the unit, waiting about 5 minutes in between, with the same results.

The To-Do list looks OK, the guide is OK.

Is my drive fried?

Can I force a do-over on the scheduling?

I added a new title to season options and the list regenerated...

it's can take up to 48 hrs to rebuild your To Do List if you do reset
