I moved my dish as close as I can from my condo wall (with a signal) and now I'm trying to know what I found with the power scan.

16 Tps
3 channels (news feed is seems)

I don't know if I can post them?

I checked on Lyngsat but it's not obvious to compare the tp freq.

sounds like AMC9 at 83W

I cant motor over there right now to check because my motorized is busy recording something :)
But those frequencies look right for AMC9

Lyngsat shows this:

11763 H
tp 3

11769 H
tp 3

Sounds like you are right... :)

Thanks!

So that is my "southest" sat...

Lyngsat doesn't list all of them but usually this time of day AMC9 lights up between 11700-11800 with news feeds.

confirmed that is AMC9 :)

If you scan between 11700-11850 MHZ on a blind scan, there is a bunch of news feeds there right now :)

thank you, I'll scan right now!

I'll get my motor tomorrow, very excited :D

AMC9 brings my dish 1/2 inch. from the wall so now I know the limit...

every little bit helps

It would help to know the orientation (the geometry) at your location, but if your wall is south-facing, the motor will move the dish another 6..8 inches out from the building.
1). you may find a mount that'll move the dish out more from the wall than you think, giving you more swing-room.
When I said that in your other thread, I wasn't even thinking of the motor. :)

Well, it's not exactly square but the wall is facing West. With the wall behind, the dish is looking left and I reach AMC9@83 nothing under. I understand that USALS should allow me to play anyway with what I have.

Even if I clear the wall somehow, the next condo will block my los.
