I don't know Chad. $10.00 a month for a second run movie once a week seems a little high to me. I can see why they keep offering premiums for 1/2 price. Numerous people are starting to figure out it isn't worth it to them either.

I've had the BB@home service a couple of times for free or 1/2 price and the only channels that I really watched were the Epix channels. The rest were boring and the same crap could play on any of them interchangeably. But even the Epix channels became redundant after about a week. The same crap plays over and over each day. It reminded me of the Voom channels before they bit the dust. Even though you can buy just the Epix channels ala cart for $7.00 a month, they aren't really worth it.
Most of the Epix movies end up on Amazon Prime or Netflix in short order.

Just a matter of time before programmers decide to charge an arm and leg to those companies as well. If everyone leaves pay tv, where is their profit going to come from?

Yes, and a lot of tv series end up there too. Just a matter of time till it all ends up somewhere for less .

If most people leave the pay TV companies like Dish and DirecTV and go to watching all their content online you do realize that the online rates are just going to go up as well. The only way you're going to save money in the future watching TV is by watching less of it. Eventually our rates for broadband will be just as much as we are paying for TV now.

I do think that people will end up saving money but we will all be paying more for less. That's not really a bad thing as long as we are saving money overall and still able to watch what we want though. I just don't foresee massive savings like some people think we will.
