upscale 1080i for laserdiscs

hello. i know you can upscale standard dvds to 1080I but every once in a while i like putting in my laserdiscs. I even upgraded it a few years ago to give me the dolby digital and dts so i wouldent have to rebuy a lot of my movies. Is there anything you can buy that will upscale my laserdiscs to 1080i?
 
One expensive option would be to add a video scaler to your setup. I have read about a product called DVDO iScan HD that does what you are looking for. It runs about $1200, however.

That link from charper1 shows how it could be used to upconvert all SD video sources in your system - set top boxes, video games, pc, etc. So it wouldn't have to be dedicated to just your laserdisc.
 
Check CompUSA. They have a competing unit on sale for $399, not quite as nice but does a good job for a lot less cash.
