GEOSATpro Used microhd for $50 on CL.. why so cheap?

That is what I think also. I have even got questions from people asking how well it does on DISH. When I ask they say someone told them it was the best one to get. Someone got there wires crossed. Best one for FTA, not for stealing..:D

No I doubt it is defective being less than a year since they have been released it would still be under warranty. ;)

Its a girl selling it. She said she got it and thought it was too small  and wants to simply get rid of it LoL.

Might get it off her hands for that price to mess around with it see how it does.

We will see how it goes if she replies again as I offered her $45 cash

I normally try to haggle when buying used gear, but for $50, I'd jump on that deal before someone else does...

Especially since it is posted here for all to see  ...

I would add, the retail price is more than twice the asking, she needed the money more than the stb. It is cute though, and some of the newer designed "media" boxes mimic many parts of the designed use abilities. Like any to TV box, it is fully supported except one feature, it does not have a Slingbox built-in internet connection; for reception on a droid or iPhone.

The microHD for satellite tv is good for FTA. You can manually input PID's (PCR, VID, AID) to get locks other receivers cannot scan. And the small case fits where others will not, and is lite-weight which can use 12 vdc battery power if desired (for those c banders off the grid). It is also hdmi equipped and has CC and secondary audio on video/audio as well as HDMI output no other FTA receiver provides!

IT'S A STEAL!

sorry
someone knows where I can sell my microhd used only for test?
is there in this forum a "private second hand market section"?

thanks
and sorry for my bad english

why would you pay more for a used receiver.
I don't trust the "pick it up in person" part tho.
It may be the last thing you do.

why? bring someone with you. I've purchased stuff on Craigslist and I just meet the person and I always bring along my buddy
I've purchased stuff from other Satguys and have gone to their house to pick it up. Even had some folks come to my house to pick up stuff I sold

unless it weighs a ton/bulky I would never pick it up in person.
For an item that small there is no reason not to ship it.
Better safe than sore.

I got my WS International 90/99 cm dish for $30 on CL. I drove with a friend of mine and we picked it up. If you're scared, you can get a false sense of security by taking along a friend...especially if he's over 6 feet and close to 300 lbs.

When I sold a AM21 (Directv OTA add on adapter) the guy was like 10 minutes from my house. Saved both of us on shipping costs and he just came and picked it up.

If you're unsure of going to the person's house, simply suggest a public place to meet and do the deal. Been there, done that... New Orleans is not the safest city.

I wish I could find a used microHD for that price on my CL...

Eurosport,

Only one firmware change was recommended...

Sorry if the frequent firmware releases with new features and operational improvements are bothering anyone. Guess that some folks are just used to buying equipment without ongoing development and implementation of user requests!... :D

We will do our best to reduce support and development to the reduced levels that you are more accustomed too and would seemingly prefer... ;)
