Hi I'd like to know what the best video connection between a DVD player and an HDTV is. I currently have a DVI connection between my Sat receiver and the HDTV and an S video cable between the DVD player and the HDTV. Is there anything better for the DVD/ HDTV video connection?

Thanks,

If you have only one DVI, continue to use it for your satellite. Your set should have component (red green and blue RCA type connectors) inputs, that will give you a signifigantly better image on your TV, from your DVD

What he said. My guess is your set has both DVI and component inputs, so use the component for DVD. It definitely will be an improvement over an s-video connection.

If you use component, be sure you choose the "progressive" output as some players have 2 component outputs or a switch or a menu setting to choose whether interlaced or progressive goes out that port. Also choose 16:9 output in your menu on the DVD player.
