Video Game Deals

I think that may have been a misprint or something. It's $40 on there now.

In that case they are either giving this option to people who pre-order the game or it's a special promotion to get some money out of all the people who are getting the game free from Nvidia because I'm still seeing that price.

Edit: you'll probably have to click the image to expand it big enough to actually read the season pass price. I also have the option to buy the premium version for $89.99 instead of $99.99.

I see the premium option of 10% off, but it's still coming up as $40. Try going to your link without being logged into Steam.

Yeah, if I follow the link after logging out of my Steam account it shows as $40. When I log back in it goes back to $30. I'm wondering if this is part of the promo deal with Nvidia. It could be something everyone gets if they have the base game tied to their account but I haven't seen mention of this deal anywhere else.

It could also have something to do with me having all 4 Arkham games in my Steam library now. I have seen developers do stuff like that before. When I bought Witcher 3 on Steam (before having it refunded) I got 20% off. Everyone gets 10% off for pre-ordering but you also get an additional 5% for each of the previous Witcher games in your library. I had them both.

Edit: I ended up pulling the trigger on this. Normally I wouldn't like to spend $30 on DLC before reviews for the base game hit and we know it actually works. I figure this is a special circumstance thought. I was given a $50 Steam gift card as a birthday present specifically for Witcher 3. Since I ended up getting Witcher 3 free from Nvidia that was no longer necessary and I just have the money sitting in my Steam wallet. This card was given to me to buy a gift with so I may as well do that.

Also Rocksteady has a solid past with their previous Arkham PC games. I am pretty sure I will want this content eventually and I'm really only paying $30 for same content as the entire $99 premium package. On top of that, I may be done with this game and on to the next thing before the season pass goes on sale for less than $30. I'm much more likely to get some use out of this content if I have it on day one.

I think that there's a deal where if you get these games for free, they give you discounts on the DLC in an effort to persuade you to spend more money. I posted this on Reddit (and before my post was removed for some stupid reason) someone mentioned that they redeemed for Witcher 3 and they got a discount on the Season Pass, so I have a feeling it's tied to these NVidia keys. Interesting find nonetheless, but I don't see myself spending money, at least not ~$20 to add time to a game that usually lasts 100 hours.

I guess Green Man Gaming came to terms with CDProjekt Red. After pulling their original $39.99 promo a couple weeks ago during their spat they now have a special 27% off promo code specifically for that game.

Edit: I suppose I should actually mention that the game I was talking about was Witcher 3.

Apparently Humble Bundle ran out of keys for a few games during their sale, so as retribution EVERYONE gets $5 free towards purchases. Check your email if you've purchased Humble Bundle stuff before.

Beep is 19 cents on Steam..

To celebrate Pac-Man's 35 year anniversary, Amazon is having a sale on a bunch of Pac-Man stuff, including games. You can get the very good Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ for only $2.50.

Update: Steam is having the same deal, but they also have all the DLC on sale as well, not to mention it lasts for 48 hours, as opposed to ending today, so you may as well buy it on Steam, or if you want you can get it from Humble Store at same price.

Speaking of Humble Store, they're having an encore of all their biggest sellers on sale through the weekend. Worth a look for some pretty good deals.

Well this is different.. for the Humble Bundle, they're letting you pay what you want for Nintendo eShop games, meaning you play them on your 3DS or Wii U. Before you get too excited, you're not getting games like Super Mario. Rather these are standard Indie games that have been available before, but this time they're on Nintendo systems.

This week's Humble Bundle is for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS games. This is pretty surprising. First, I don't think there have been any console Humble Bundles before. Second, out of the 3 console companies Nintendo is the one I would have thought least likely to try this. Now, these are all indie games, not first party stuff but it's still surprising.

Edit: Once again, yourbeliefs beat me to it.

Here's something you don't see everyday: A deal for Mac Gamers!

You can get Witcher 1 & 2, Torchlight, and FATE for $9.99. Damn good deal. That's about 300+ hours of gameplay for $9.99

In other news Double Fine has regained the rights to Iron Brigade and released a MASSIVE update that removed GFW, added Steam Matchmaking, and fixed numerous bugs. To celebrate, the game is also available at 80% off at $2.99.

Here's a quick description:
