I don't know about 211's because we haven't seen any in a long, long time but 211K's or 211Z's can be activated on an existing VIP or Hopper account as long as there's no Wally's on the account.

Also, you should be able to use them on a Pay-as-you-Go system (what we're using for our vacation home). We have our old ViP 211 & 211k receivers running the Flex Pack since May.

I think it might be deeper than that. The 211 uses the old interface while the Wally uses the CUI. More than just the interface they are two different operating systems. Think Windows and Mac...

While they are allowed the main purpose is as an RV or tailgate receiver.

Right. But their terminology for that is what I said in that post.

As “touched on” before: It’s a different software set. They what to phase out old ViP software. Cheaper that way.
