Having both VOOM and CV's iO here in NJ, I have so many friends who
want VOOM but wont or cant have two providers...

With no coverage of NY sports they wont switch.
Is there anyone @ VOOM reading these who can answer if RSN's will be
added with mpeg4/WM9 ?

Here in NY/NJ we get with CV. MSGHD FSNHD & YES... YESHD will be soon
were told.

The bigger question is will VOOM be able to add RSN's in HD ???
That sounds like a huge undertaking asking for RSN's in HD....

I want my RSN!

Here is a response that I got from Voom recently when I emailed them requesting the regional sports networks:

"Thank you for your feedback about VOOM’s channel lineup. We appreciate your interest in having us add FOX Sports Regional to our program offerings. While I cannot disclose information about any pending or potential programming offers, I can tell you that customer feedback has led to the addition of new programs and channels in the past. Recently we added ESPN HD and the Golf Channel to our lineup."

Hopefully they are smart enough to realize that there are lots of people that want to watch college football this fall!

HGTV, DIY, USA, SCI-FI, FOX Sports

I can think of a couple of people in my area who would love to switch to Voom for the HD but these are they're favorite channels, go figure.

Two of the below channels are my favorites as well. Stargate SG-1, Monk! &
The Dead Zone are three of my favorite cable shows. I sorely miss them. But
I'm not an idiot to give up 30+ HD channels and quality programming because
I'm missing these three shows.

I know VOOM will eventually get those channels added. It's only a matter of
time. Just like the DVR.

I'll wait because I know it's coming. It would a different story if they
said they were never going to carry them or release a DVR. Then I'd have
something concrete to not choose VOOM as my provider.

I won't cancel Voom either, to me it's stupid, in their case they already have DTV and Dish, and they pay EXTRA for their HDTV, they want to switch but don't want to go through the hassle of equipment changes, canceling, etc. right now. In any case, I think I asked this before what's Voom's install base already, they have to be growing since every time I need service the time it takes is like 2-3 weeks for a tech.

[VOOM] Re: Future Channels

I would like to add
1) get rid of the two MMAX channles and keep one; then add 5-Star max and
OuterMAX. Why we don't have the complete Cinemax lineup is betyond me.
2) History International
2A) The Science Channel
3) All the Discovery channels especially Discovery Science
4) Nicktoons
5) Lifetime
6) Lifetime Movies
7) USA
8) *********RSN's HD
9) second feed of disney
10) second feed of Nick
11) Nick GAS
12) ******* The OUTDOOR Channel
13 SCI-FI
14) G4TECHTV
15) The full StarZ lineup

VOOM so close to being the ultimate sat provider (- NFL ticket); just fo it.

I can go with these. They're not enough to keep me from switching, but
there is some stuff there I miss.

> 14) G4TECHTV

TechTV was my most missed channel in the line up until the G4
take-over/make-over. I'm not that interested now.

Any list like that should probably include BBC America. Personally, I
don't watch the home re-do shows, but those are mega-popular, and I do
like the occasional Monty Python rerun.

I think it would be great to add NASA TV - it would be really nice to
have for events like the Cassini flyby, and once the shuttle starts
flying again there will be more frequent events. Its a special interest
channel, but it has to be better than MOOV.
