[VOOM] How to get program guide for new channels found by OTA scan?

Dear Wilt:
I picked up 25 additional OTA channels when I scanned using the new
software. 4 of them are subchannels of channels that are already in
my program guide (though they were not listed in the program guide)
and the other 21 are new and were never listed in the program guide
before. How do I go about getting the program guide info for these
new channels that are now in my list? They all have programming
(sound and video) on them. I am located between NY and Philadelphia
so the 21 channels are mostly from Philly. The three new NY subs are
4-2, 11-2, 21-3 and a new channel 12-1. The Philly/NJ channels are 3-
1, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 10-1, 17-1, 17-2, 35-1, 52-1, 52-2, 52-3, 52-4, 52-
5, 57-1, 58-1, 58-2, 58-3, 58-4, 58-5, 65-1, 65-2.

I am in ZIP 07750 in NJ.

Thanks,
Joseph Nardone

Wilt or Dragon_lady:
Any answer to this question? Didn't VOOM anticipate that people would pick up additional channels with the scan? Is the program guide information supposed to show up for the new channels? How long does it take to show up?

I thought I read that you cannot get program info for the channels found in the scan, only those mapped to your receiver. I do not know this for sure but I remember reading this somewhere.

lol, j/k on the 2 weeks, just seemed to be the answer before on other things Voom does. But anywho, probably not possible seeing how Sean or someone associated with Voom hasn't responded with a answer. Another "duh" on Voom's behalf. They think things out don't they.

Hi:
Since Wilt and Dragon_lady did not respond to my question about whether or not I am supposed to get program guide information for new channels that are found by the OTA scanning feature of the VOOM software I went ahead and called VOOM. My first call was made last week and the CSR did not know the answer so she "escalated" the problem. Someone from the VOOM escalation team called me back the next day and said that I should leave my box in "standby" (which I do already) to receive the program guide information. I did this for four nights and there was still no programming information on my new channels. I called VOOM back today and the CSR, after checking with her supervisor, told me that I should definitely have the program guide information for all new channels found by the OTA scanning and that if I did not then there is something wrong with my box. She set up a service call to have my box checked and possibly replaced. So I guess that is the answer to the question:

If you pick up new channels by OTA scanning then the program guide information for those channels should appear in your program guide within a day or two. If it does not then there is something wrong with your box.

I've had 11 new local channels since the day after the release of 6.10 and I
too leave my box in standby every night. Still no guide for those channels.
In fact, when Usa came on 522, I had no guide so I unplugged the box, waited
2 minutes, plugged it in, turned it on and waited 1/2 hr for the guide to
update. The guide updated all channels, including 522, but did not update
those new 11 local channels.

hmmmm....
