[VOOM] Re: New receivers?
I just had one of my receivers replaced for the fifth time and a
second one replaced for the first time. One of them was the new
receiver with software version 6.0.0. Its has scanning, but it
doesn't work properly. For example, when you scan for channels it
locks them in. I had about 16 channels locked in, but no fox channel
10. The installer stopped trying to get channel 10 in (which I got
before) he also thought I was going to get a bunch of new channels.
Upon existing the scanning screen I only had the channels that I had
before, not the new ones that were found and I also got channel 10
which would not come up during the scan.
The installer said the scanning was not ready for use. He also said
there was an install wizard that was not ready for use either. No
more audio drop outs though.
It Kinda like Rave and Rush, not ready to watch until they have more
content ;-) btw, i have been a VOOM subscriber since Nov '03. The
stability of the system is now rock solid with the new
software/receiver. Now we just need more channels and more content
on the VOOM originals.
