[VOOM] remote control

The remote control provides a means of programming the TV button to
manipulate your TV and it does that fine. I even sort of like the way
you program it. It's a lot better than other ones I've used.

Anyway, if I configure it to switch my TV on and off, it's volume and
mute controls only work on the TV. Is there a way I can leave the
power putton to turn on/turn off the TV but the volume and other audio
features control my receiver? As it stands, I'm stuck using two
remotes (actually much more, but that's unrelated). I tried also to
program the TV button to manipulate my receiver instead but it didn't
have the code for it (which I expected actually).

Any suggestions? Any hidden features here that I can try?

I have the same issue as I wish I could operate my Dennon receiver as thats what I use for surround sound. If you find out please do share.

I asked the same question after having been spoiled by the remote to
my E* 811. The answer is "nope". I'm stuck with 3 remotes at this
point.

[VOOM] Re: remote control

I found a way to control the volume of my tv and my surround sound.
Since my Sony tv has audio out, I ran some audio cables to my pre-
amp audio inputs, so now when I change the volume on my tv, the
stereo speakers change volume also. Remember to set your tv volume
first, then adjust the stereo up to the right balance.

[VOOM] Re: remote control

Unfortunately that won't work for this. I don't have any audio going
to the TV/monitor. I was hoping there was some hidden functionality
somewhere that might make this simpler, but it looks like a universal
remote is in my future.
