[VOOM] two dumb questions

1) If you have two STB's, (I don't yet) do you split the line right
at the dish itself, or can it be split inside your house before it
reaches an STB?

I was having trouble getting some of my locals in (had them before,
but lost them in the trees), so I put in a 25 db antenna booster
that I had laying around. It worked.

My question is, can the satellite signal be "boosted" as well? Does
it need a special booster, or would one of these antenna signal
boosters work? I looked at
http://www.accessorywarehouse.com/shop.html and they appeared to
have a booster specifically for the dish signal. Do they work?

Thanks.

[VOOM] Re: two dumb questions

I do not know about the Sat boosters but I do use a MOtorola booster
meant for cable modems that should work. Have not personally tested
it yet. You can find them at CompUSA next to the cable modems.
