As most of you know, ExpressVu is using 2 satellites at 91. They are Nimiq1 and Nimiq3. Nimiq3 is an old DirecTv satellite and doesnt have the same footprint as Nimiq1. If you are in California, Arizona, southern parts of Texas, Miss, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, you probably will not be able to see Nimiq3. Someone asked “What am I missing” and we usually give a quick overview. Well, I decided to go through and list ALL of what is on N3.

N3 transponders at 3, 7, 9, 11, 17, 21, 23, 25

Here is a list (in no particular order). This list was taken on 9/24. All I did was scan the transponders on my free to air box.

Venus (11 adult channels) & Preview channel
10 French PPV channels
13 PPV channels
The Score
3 NHL Centre Ice channels
Canucks, Flames & Oilers PPV channel

Leafs TV

Much Music Canada

One good thing is TSN, the main sports network, use to be on TP25. It is now on TP24 and everyone can see it.

So if you’re looking to get ExpressVu and live in the areas above, you might want to see if the programming you want is on N3 and choose accordingly : )

Thanks for all your research Iceberg. Handy list to have for us "really southern" snowbirds!

The upside is that you can get the HD Networks, City TV, and others on 82. Most of the other channels are fluff. (Except for Leafs TV :no )

I'll update it when the need arises (probably once a month)

maybe they'll move Leafs Tv to N1...

and if anybody asks...no these cannot be picked up with a FTA box. All I did was scan in the scrambled channels :)
