This is a new one on me, I have had my Panny PT-60LC13 & VOOM for about a month, all has been great... "NOW" last night while watching an HD program on VOOM an aprox. 8th inch white dot appeared on the screen right of center, I changed the channel a few times, still there, I turned off the TV , back on and it was gone.

Tonight I'm watching an HD program on VOOM all is OK and then a the same size white dot apprears left of center on the screen. I turned the TV off twice and its still there. I SWITCH TO CABLE OR DIRECtv AND IT IN "NOT" THERE. ??? So, I conclude its not the TV, unless it has something to do with that the VOOM is on the DVI Input and the cable & Directv is (thru TIVO) on S Video Input,
Could it have something to do with the DVI Input on the TV or could it be a VOOM thing...??? Anybody had a similar problem or offer insight...???

Perplexed... Thanx.

gonzalez6653... I had that happen to me, but it's been so long ago I think maybe it was before I got my box exchanged... that was back in January, I think... that was a minor problem from all the others I had back then... but the new box had problems too and the software upgrade fixed most of them... now, I'm inclined to think the original box wasn't the problem, but the software was... in other words, I think it's a software problem with yours... LOL...

I had the same problem a couple of nights ago. The white dot went away after changing channels a few times. I have a Sammy HLN467W connected through DVI. I don't think it is the TV or the DVI connection since it doesn't happen all the time. Don't have any idea what caused it. I guess it could be a problem with the signal.

VoomVoom... Thanx, I reset the resolution on the box and it cleared the dot,
again, I don't think, its a monitor problem & your confirmation & resetting the resolution seems to confirm that. I suposedly have the newest software Nep. 568, OTV. CO117, EPG. 1.9.6D.... hopefully as you say, its a minor inconvenience as long as I can reset when it happens I'm OK with it (as long as it doesn't happen constantly) hopefully this too will be worked out... at least I'm not the only one and its "not" my new TV... Thanx again....

RE: [VOOM] Re: White DOT Phenomenon only on VOOM..???

I had a white "line" after using the guide. I had to reboot the stb for it
to go away. One reboot was all it took.

It's a known bug in the STB Software.
There is no need to reboot the STB. In most cases pressing VOOM and then WATCH will remove the white dot ("stuck pixels").

For the list of other known bugs in the STB read the following thread:
