Hello

For some reasom this forum keeps crashing my laptop and makes it shut down on IE7.

I have had this on no other web sites well some times they make IE7 crash but never make the laptop shut down.

I just get a blue screen and them when my laptop starts up it says

vista has just recovered from a serious error.

But it seems to be fine in Fire Fox.

My laptop is a Vaio AR - 61E

I suspect an activeX control in IE7, probably used in one of the ads. You could look through the list of installed programs in IE7 and disable some of them and see if that fixes it and try to figure out which one it is through a process of elimination.

Using IE7 with XP here and no problems. Might also be a Vista problem. I think Vista is just Bill Gates way to bring back ME with fancy graphics. :D

There are no ActiveX controls used to display the advertising. If there were, you would have been getting those damnable alerts left and right asking if you wanted to install the controls.

There's lots of Javascript.

Is it doing it now that the ads are mostly turned off?
